Our history - Knitronix

Knitronix srl

Knitronix is a spinoff of a company founded in the 50's to make textile machines, subsequently converted to produce metal fabrics for industry and interior design. Knitronix produces textile sensors for tactile pressure, temperature, presence of liquids/moisture and strain, protected by International patents and all made using proprietary technologies. The following are the main steps of our short, but very full of events history.

April 2023

Knitronix raises its first round by an US angel investor

April 2021

Knitronix is the first company to present a textile sensor for temperature produced in automatic by a textile machine

December 2020

EU funded SmartX project decides to back our project for industrializing our temperature sensor

March 2020

Begins production of occupancy sensors for baby car seat alarms

June 2020

Plug&Wear Srl change its name to Knitronix Srl

August 2016

Three partners found the startup Plug&Wear srl to make textile sensors
